This private commission was completed for a fan of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials and The Book of Dust novels. This scene is inspired by a beautiful passage near the end of The Secret Commonwealth, where Lyra enters the City of the Moon. I love these books too, so it was a treat for me to illustrate this scene.
